Frequently Asked Questions

  • Families often come to me when they are exploring options like postpartum doula support, maternity nurse or maternity nanny care, or parenting consultant services, but are looking for something more personalised, practical and relationship-based.

My work sits across practical hands-on support, expert guidance and emotional reassurance, helping you feel confident caring for your baby and navigating family life, rather than stepping in to replace you.

  • This can include support with things like:

    • Newborn care skills

    • Feeding support and trusted signposting

    • Sleep foundations and routines

    • Postpartum support

    • Behaviour and emotional regulation

    • Potty training

    • Preparing older siblings

    • Childcare and nanny guidance

    • School readiness and decision support

Support is always shaped around your child, your family and what feels most useful right now.

  • Not at all. Many families might return for support with second or third babies, or when navigating new stages with older children.

  • Both. Many families choose in home support for hands on guidance and real life help, but online sessions work beautifully for advice, planning and ongoing support too.

  • I mainly work with families across the Cotswolds and London but can travel elsewhere upon request.

I offer online support for families who can be based anywhere.

  • Maternity nurses and maternity nannies are usually focused on providing childcare support. My work combines practical baby care help with expert guidance, emotional support and helping you build confidence in caring for your baby yourself. Many families choose this when they want support alongside them, rather than someone working in place of them.

  • There is some overlap. Like a postpartum doula, I support you emotionally and practically during the early weeks. My work also includes detailed newborn care guidance, parenting support and longer-term family support as your baby grows.

  • That’s very normal. We can talk through where you are, what’s feeling easy, what’s feeling uncertain, and decide together what would feel most helpful.
